<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply system for generating power by easily supplying hydrogen gas to a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply system 400 comprises a gas generator 300, a fuel cell 410, gas supply pipes 420, 430, and a power supply device 440. The gas generator 300 generates oxygen gas and hydrogen gas by immersing a positive electrode made of a nitride crystal in the III group and a negative electrode made of Pt into hydrochloric acid solution and impressing direct-current voltage between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. Further, the gas generator 300 supplies the generated oxygen gas and the hydrogen gas to the fuel cell 410 via the gas supply pipes 420, 430, and the fuel cell 410 generates direct-current power by using the oxygen gas and hydrogen gas supplied from the gas generator 300.
