PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving control device and method for a vehicle for instantaneously responding to the sudden change in the driving operation of a driver for the fluctuation of a driving environment affecting vehicle traveling. SOLUTION: This driving control device of a vehicle is provided with: an environmental state detection part 32 for detecting the state of a driving environment affecting the traveling of the own vehicle; a pattern selection part 33 for predicting the change of the driving operation of a driver for the fluctuation of the driving environment as a predicted driving pattern based on the detection information of the environmental state detection part 32; and a control part 34 for controlling the driving state of the own vehicle to a driving state suitable for the change of the driving operation of the driver prior to the change based on the predicted driving pattern.
