PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate difficulty of ranging based on transmission time of radio wave under environment that mutlipaths superimpose. SOLUTION: The multipaths are suppressed by assuming a plurality of models superimposed by the multipaths, evaluating reliability of the models, selecting a model with high reliability, obtaining the transmission time of direct wave based on the selected model and obtaining the distance between a signal source and a receiver.
