PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data distribution system, a terminal, an information processing method and a program for reducing processing loads on a connection candidate introduction device and preventing the generation of cyclic connection between and among the respective terminals. SOLUTION: The data distribution system is provided with a data distribution device, the connection candidate introduction device and a plurality of terminals logically connected at multiple layers by layered structure using the data distribution device as a vertex to receive and relay data, wherein each terminal is configured to acquire connected position information indicating a connected position of a self-terminal in the layered structure, to acquire connection information for being connected from the connection candidate introduction device to a terminal of a connection candidate when it is re-connected to the layered structure, to acquire the connected position of the terminal in the layered structure from a terminal corresponding to the connection information and to select a terminal which is not arranged downstream from the self-terminal in the layered structure as a connection destination based on the connected position information of the self-terminal and the connected position information of the connection candidate.
