PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently take out electric power energy of at least the same degree as a conventional power generation system without causing a problem arising from fuel resources. SOLUTION: This power generation system comprises: a carbon dioxide gas producing device 81; a noncombustive power generating device 82; a primary liquefied carbon dioxide gas producing device 83 liquefying carbon dioxide gas 35 ejected from the carbon dioxide gas producing device; a secondary carbon dioxide gas producing device 90; and a carbon dioxide gas engine 1 to which the primary liquefied carbon dioxide gas producing device and the secondary liquefied carbon dioxide gas producing device are connected. The secondary liquefied carbon dioxide gas producing device 90 comprises: a cooling part 57, carbon dioxide gas liquefying parts 69a, 69b; a carbon dioxide gas isolating part 71; and a liquefied carbon dioxide gas storage tank 73. A circulating circuit 34 circulating carbon dioxide gas is constituted by connecting the respective parts. The noncombustive power generating device 82 supplies electric power to the primary liquefied carbon dioxide gas producing device and the secondary liquefied carbon dioxide gas producing device. The carbon dioxide gas engine 1 is composed of an engine operated by the cubical expansion of carbon dioxide gas 35a supplied in a high pressure state, to generate power. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
