PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate obtaining fluid-tightness for a pressure chamber 7 in an injector 1 for injecting fuel by lifting and driving a needle 3 by means of extension/contraction of an actuator 4. SOLUTION: In this injector 1, when the actuator 4 stops extension/contraction to return to the original length, and a piston 6 is displaced to the rear edge side, support force to an inner side sleeve 41 of a spring 41 becomes weak, the inner side sleeve 41 is separated from a rear edge surface 37 and high pressure fuel is supplied to the pressure chamber 7 from a fuel chamber 48. Under this constitution, the inner side sleeve 41 has small diameter to be housed in the pressure chamber 7, therefore, the inner side sleeve can be separated/attached in an annular state to the rear edge surface 37 at a position not largely apart from an axial core of the injector 1.
