PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable music playback device (DAP) and a karaoke system that can evade problems accompanying key change operation that a user performs on a karaoke device to improve convenience by making the karaoke device and portable music playback device cooperate with each other. SOLUTION: The portable music playback device has a communication means capable of transmitting and receiving various information to and from the karaoke device and a playback musical piece reserving means capable of setting a musical piece that the karaoke device is to play back, and the playback musical piece reserving means relates key information used to change the key of the musical piece to be played back to the musical piece information corresponding to the musical piece and transmits them to the karaoke device.
