PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the seal function of a joint boot without complicating manufacture of a metal mold, by dispensing with processing to an outer member and a transmission shaft. SOLUTION: A recessed part 26 sunk by pointing to the outer peripheral wall side from an inner peripheral wall, is formed in a plurality on the inner peripheral wall of a large diameter cylinder part 20 in the joint boot 10. The volume of the recessed part 26 may be at random, or may be mutually equal. Arrangement of the recessed part 26 may also be at random, or may be regular. When installing a metallic band 32 on an outer peripheral wall of the large diameter cylinder part 20, the recessed pate 26 collapsingly expands.
