PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric heater for a vehicle ventilation system for achieving a certain electrical contact point even in a humid and stark environment and for effectively exchanging heat. SOLUTION: The electric heater is structured of a stack of elongate heating elements containing PTC plates 32 in electrical and thermal contact with elongate fretted radiators alternating therewith. The heating elements and the radiators have a plurality of aligned vertical holes forming a vertical passage, in which are received respective helical springs 20 that are hooked at their opposite ends to rods 18 extending parallel along two longitudinal sides of the stack. Brackets close the opposite ends of the stack and have holes 58 and 60 in which the opposite ends of the rods are received and retained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
