PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively and quickly clean air contamination generated in a room in an air cleaner for cleaning indoor air. SOLUTION: This air cleaner is provided with a first opening/closing type suction port 2 in the side face of a body and a second opening/closing type suction port 3 in the lower part of the body, when the first opening/closing type suction port 2 is closed and the second opening/closing type suction port 3 is opened, the quantity of suction air relative to an indoor low area space is raised to efficiently remove dust stirred up near a floor surface, and, when the first opening/closing type suction port 2 is opened and the second opening/closing type suction port 3 is closed, the quantity of the suction air relative to an indoor high area space is raised to efficiently remove floating dust and odor.
