<p>A hand portable exercise strut (100), comprises a strut body (110) adapted to store air therewithin, a plunger (170) provided in the strut body (110), the plunger (170) forming at least a partial air seal with an inside wall of the strut body (110), a plunger rod (130) having a first end attached to the plunger (170), and a second end extending out of the strut body (110), a first attachment (120) coupled to a bottom end of the strut body (110), the first attachment (120) adapted to secure the strut body (110) to a fixed position, a second attachment (140) coupled to the second end of the plunger rod (130), the second attachment (140) operable to facilitate longitudinal movement of the plunger rod (130) within the strut body (110) by a user and an air proportioning device (160, 165) for varying a flow rate of air into and out of the strut body (110).</p> |
