<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission purifier for an internal-combustion engine equipped with a water/moisture adsorber, and an unpurified component adsorber on the exhaust passage, which favorably avoids such an occurrence that the water and/or moisture brings about deterioration of the unpurified component adsorbing capability and secures the adsorbing capability of the unpurified component adsorber certainly and sufficiently. <P>SOLUTION: A NOx adsorber 46 to adsorb NOx contained in the exhaust gas is provided in a bypass 18 detouring the main exhaust passage 14 of the internal-combustion engine 10, while three pieces of water/moisture adsorber 40 etc. having a function to adsorb the water/moisture are provided upstream of the exhaust passage the NOx adsorber 46. A selector valve 20 etc. to put the passages between the three pieces of water/moisture adsorber 40 etc. and the NOx adsorber 46 in communication or to shut off selectively. As an atmosphere introducing member, an atmosphere communication pipe 56 and/or an air pump 58 are installed to introduce the atmosphere to other water/moisture adsorber 40 etc. and/or the NOx adsorber 46 from upstream of the three pieces of water/moisture adsorber 40 etc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
