<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize an optimum reference relation in a GOP structure and to perform random access from an I picture which is not an IDR picture in a picture information encoder for outputting image compression information based on an AVC encoding system. <P>SOLUTION: When performing multiple frame prediction, a memory management control command for managing pictures inside a decoded picture buffer is used, a reference B picture between P pictures or I pictures is registered as a picture used for long-term reference, and the reference B picture is arranged at the beginning of a reference list using a reference picture list ordering command in a B picture between the P picture or the I picture and the reference B picture, and the maximum value of a long-term frame index is set to [0] in the P picture or the I picture by the memory management control command. Thus, the picture used for the long-term reference inside the decoded picture buffer is set to a picture unused for reference, and the random access from the I picture which is not the IDR picture is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
