PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage the maintenance management information of a network relay device 100 to facilitate maintenance replacement operation. SOLUTION: The maintenance management information regarding the network relay device 100 is preliminarily input and stored in a server 400. After that, the network relay device 100 returns a version and setting information of a running operating system to a server 300 to a request from the server 300. The server 300 transfers the received information to the server 400, the server 400 collates received operation information with the stored maintenance management information regarding the network relay device 100, writes the received operation information and stores it in a nonvolatile memory. When the maintenance replacement work becomes necessary for the network relay device 100 due to a failure, etc., the customized nonvolatile memory for the network relay device together with a device used as a substitute for the network relay device 100 is distributed to execute a maintenance means.
