PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of extracting embedded information existing in a second face without causing deterioration in reading efficiency in which images on both faces surely have to be read. SOLUTION: The image processor is provided with a scanning means 110 for scanning paper and encoding information extracting means 120 for extracting encoding information embedded in the paper scanned by the scanning means 110. The image processor is also provided with an automatic second face reading means 140 for scanning the second face of the paper when both-face control information is included in the encoding information of the first face of the paper processed by the encoding information extracting means 120, and a printing means 170 for printing an image scanned by the scanning means.
