PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record/reproduce broadcast signals with high accuracy, by correcting variations in conversion gains of signals in a plurality of signal converters to broadcast signals having different frequencies, when recording and reproducing the broadcast signals. SOLUTION: In recording, a reference signal fn to be output from a reference signal generator 400 and having a different frequency is distributed by a signal distributor 110, and input to a signal converter main body 12n corresponding to each frequency fn. The signal converter main body 12n includes a variable attenuator 12nA for adjusting the conversion gain of the input signal, based on a control signal ern from the outside. An operator adjusts the control signal ern to reduce an output error Z(ern) of the signal converter main body 12n to zero, so that the conversion gain by the signal converter main body 12n to each frequency fn is corrected. In reproduction, a control signal epn of a variable attenuator 15nA is adjusted to equalize the output levels between the detection output of a reference signal generator 400 and the detection output of the recorded reference signal, so that the conversion gain by the signal converter main body 15n is corrected.
