PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method and a control circuit for electric power to be supplied to a heater in an optical interferometer which controls a transmitted light frequency by refractive index variation of an optical waveguide due to heat. SOLUTION: A control voltage generating circuit 5 generates a control voltage to supply electric power to the heater 2 formed on the optical waveguide of the optical interferometer 1, and a constant power control circuit 6 supplies electric power corresponding to the control voltage to the heater. In this case, the control voltage is determined based upon a resistance value of the heater or a measurement of electric power consumed by the heater to absorb variation thereof.
