PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaporation filter and a humidifying device utilizing the evaporation filter, having low pressure loss, capable of being easily washed to keep cleanness, and free from generation of bubbles and a water film even when it is brought into contact with the water, with respect to the evaporation filter for humidification by evaporating the water. SOLUTION: The treatment liquid including synthetic resin emulsion and colloidal silica is applied to urethane foam 15 having voids through which the air passes, thus the evaporation filter 11 where an acrylic resin 13 and silica particles 12 are fixed to the voids 14 and a base material surface 16 can be obtained. The humidifying device 41 is constituted to supply the water to the evaporation filter 42, and to distribute the air from a fan 43 as an air distributing means. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
