摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flap shape with a high swirl rate and suppressed flow loss. SOLUTION: The intake device is equipped with an intake port having a shape that makes air flow into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine so that the air that flowed into the combustion chamber becomes a predetermined swirling air flow inside the combustion chamber. A flap is disposed in a region on the side close to a cylinder center axis out of a back face of an umbrella portion of an intake valve 3A disposed in the intake port, to extend along a stem portion 5A of the intake valve 3A and also to extend from the stem portion 5A outward in the radial direction. In the height of the flap measured parallel to the axial direction of the stem portion 5A of the intake valve 3A from the surface of the umbrella portion of the intake valve 3A, the height of an outside portion in the radial direction is formed at least substantially equal to the lift amount of the intake valve 3A or higher, and the height of the flap is formed so that the height in a region near the stem portion 5A is lower than the height of the outside portion in the radial direction.
