PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium for oil paint, by which problems, such as degradation of color due to use of an extender pigment as a medium for stabilizing tube oil paint, elimination of luster due to the use of beeswax, long-term deterioration of megilp itself in the case of use of the megilp for oil painting of Western classical art and separation and solidification in the case of use in tube paint, are solved. SOLUTION: The medium for oil paint, in which 20 wt.% or less of a mastic resin is heated to be dissolved in a drying oil, is used as the medium for stabilizing tube oil paint.
