PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load detecting device capable of further improving detection accuracy of a hanging load, and a crane equipped with the same. SOLUTION: The load detecting device comprises: a deforming amount detecting portion 23 provided on a hook 4 and capable of detecting electric deforming amount generated at a load detecting part of the hook 4; a hanging load calculating portion 24 calculating the hanging load according to the deforming amount detected by the deforming amount detecting portion 23; and a transmitting portion 25 transmitting the deforming amount detected by the deforming amount detecting portion 23 to the hanging load calculating portion 24 as an electric signal. The transmitting portion 25 includes a transmitting antenna 33 provided on the hook 4 and capable of transmitting the electric signal by radio; and a tip end antenna 34 capable of receiving the electric signal form the transmitting antenna 33, and provided at a tip end portion of an attachment so as to transmit the electric signal to the hanging load calculating portion 24.
