PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely check a communication state of each optional device in the case of performing broadcast communication to a plurality of the optional devices from a body apparatus. SOLUTION: The plurality of optional feeders 12a-12d are set to a printer body 11, and broadcast communication is carried out by a control part 23 of the printer body 11 and control parts 51 of the optional feeders 12a-12d each other. When the control part 23 of the printer body 11 transmits a broadcast command, the control parts 51 of all the optional feeders 12a-12d receive the broadcast command. Only the control part 51 of the optional feeder 12d of the worst error rate among the optional feeders 12a-12d returns a response to the control part 23 of the printer body 11.
