PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a printing medium pressed against a gate roller from buckling at the time of printing to a surface of the opposite side of the printing medium printed on one surface. SOLUTION: A deflection amount of the printing medium 1 finished printing on the one surface and pressed against the gate roller 14 by a feed roller 21 is controlled according to a printing state executed to the one surface of the printed printing medium 1. Specifically, when an amount of ink droplets by printing executed to the printing medium 1 is large, when printing executed to the printing medium 1 is color printing, when a margin of printing executed to the printing medium 1 is small, when an amount of ink droplets at a conveyance direction front end by printing executed to the printing medium 1 is larger than an amount at a conveyance direction rear end, and when a margin continuous in the conveyance direction by printing executed to the printing medium 1 is small, the deflection amount of the printed printing medium 1 by the feed roller 21 is set to be small.
