PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deform the form of the hole of a paper bundle from its vertical posture to its slanting posture and smoothly insert a helical coil in the slantingly deformed holes of the paper bundle. SOLUTION: Under the condition that let the tip part of paper be the stationing side of the punched holes 3a of the paper bundle and the side edge 3b of the paper be the part normal to the tip part of the paper, this paper processing device includes: a paper seating table 41 for seating the paper bundle 3 thereon; paper abutting pins for restricting and aligning the tip part of each paper of the paper bundle 3 seated on the paper seating table 46; and a paper aligning guide 41 for restricting and aligning the side edge of each paper of the paper bundle 3 on the paper seating table controlled by the paper abutting pins under the condition that the paper aligning guide 41 includes paper aligning surfaces having a predetermined slant to the paper seating surface of the paper seating table 46 so as to regulate the side edge 3b of the paper bundle 3 aslant along the slant of the paper aligning surface.
