The tank system has a tank and a filler tube for the tank, where the tube is closeable by a closure device that is locked against opening in a pressure-tight manner. A mechanical locking device provided for the closure device permits opening of the tube, if no positive pressure exists in the tank in relation to the ambient pressure. The locking device is operated by an actuator that is controlled by an electronic control unit. The locking device is integrated in the closure device.
