A display apparatus for displaying an image inputted through a USB connector and a method thereof are provided to convert a decoded image signal into an LVDS(Low Voltage Differential Signal) directly and display the LVDS without performing the TMDS(Transition Minimized Differential Signaling) converting and ADC(Analog to Digital Converter) converting of the image signal inputted through the USB connector, thereby improving a process rate and reducing production cost. A display apparatus(100) includes a connector(110), a USB(Universal Serial Bus) connector(120), a decoder(130), a signal processor(140), a control unit(150), an LVDS transmitter(160), and a display panel(170). The USB connector receives an image signal. The decoder decodes a selected image signal and transmits the decoded image signal to the LVDS transmitter. The LVDS transmitter converts the decoded image signal into an LVDS and provides the LVDS to the display panel. The control unit selects one of inputted image signals if the image signals are inputted to the connectors.
