PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quantum entangled photon-pair creating device having high production efficiency, using a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The quantum entangled photon-pair creating device 1 includes a light source 2 for emitting a pump quantum 4; and a nonlinear optical element 3 for ejecting a signal photon and an idler photon of contracted wavelength by being polarized in a mutually vertical direction, under a 90-degree phase matching condition based on the pump photon 4 emitted from the light source 2. The spectra of the signal photon and the idler photon, ejected at the same angle from the nonlinear optical element 3, match amply, with the contracted wavelength as a center. The nonlinear optical element 3 ejects the signal photon and the idler photon, at an angle intersected at the contracted wavelength by a curve representing the relation between the wavelength of the signal photon and the ejection angle, and by a curve expressing the relation between the wavelength of the idler photon and the ejection angle.
