PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high average output by suppressing the deterioration of cooling capability, which is generated by taking a large average output, in a laser apparatus deteriorating thermal lens effect by cryogenic cooling. SOLUTION: Laser medium is retained in right thermal conductivity metal having a sufficiently large volume compared with that of the laser medium to constitute so that liquid nitrogen comes into contact with the metal through a big area and prevent the generation of obstruction for cooling due to vaporized nitrogen.
