PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk device which is capable of efficiently performing stable servo control using servo tracks and increasing a transfer speed by parallel reading of a plurality of data tracks, at a low cost. SOLUTION: The magnetic disk device includes a magnetic recording medium 50 having one or more data tracks and one servo track alternately formed thereon and a plurality of reproducing heads 61a, 61b, etc. which are arranged in the radial direction of the magnetic recording medium and read signals from the magnetic recording medium 50. Reproducing heads 61a and 61b have such a positional relation that one reproducing head reads a servo signal from one servo track when the other reproducing head reads a servo signal from another servo track.
