PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a reliable temperature sensor having a stable output characteristic, excellent in heat resistance and vibration resistance, preventing a disconnection or the like and responding at a high speed even in a high-temperature and high-vibration usage environment such as an exhaust system in an internal-combustion engine. SOLUTION: The temperature sensor S has a temperature sensing section 1 exposed to the high-temperature environment of 750°C or more. The temperature sensing section 1 comprises: a thermistor element 2; and a metal cover 3 fixed to an end of a sheath pin 4 from which an output is extracted, and accommodating the thermistor element 2 in a state that it is connected to the sheath pin 4. A space within the metal cover 3 is filled with a vibration-resistant filler 11 around the thermistor element 2 which comprises an insulative porous material. Since a porosity of the vibration-resistant filler 11 is 30-70%, the ventilation volume and the vibration resistance are ensured. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
