PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preserving an ester wax without changing physical properties such as an acid value, a hydroxyl value or viscosity even when transportation or storage is carried out over a long period of time. SOLUTION: The method for preserving the ester wax represented by general formula (1) (wherein, R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each an alkylene group which may have a 2-24C straight-chain substituent; and n is an integer of 1-25) comprises regulating the amount of moisture contained in the ester wax to≤0.5 wt.%.
