PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broaching machine which can quickly remove cutting chips remaining in a broaching tool, and prevents the cutting chips from flying to adhere to a workpiece etc. during cleaning operation. SOLUTION: The broaching machine 31 comprises: a tool holding position switching mechanism 18 which selectively switches the location of a tool holding device between a standby position P1 on a machining axis 7 and a receding position P2 deviating from the machining axis 7; a tool cleaning means 33 for cleaning the broaching tool moved to the receding position P2; and a cutting chips guiding wall 35 for preventing cutting chips falling from the broaching tool from flying and guiding the same to a predetermined cutting chips recovery location Q1.
