In the vertical mounting space (23), rack mount equipment is vertically positioned. An increase in the lateral width of the electronic equipment mounting rack (12) can be avoided as much as possible. Preferably, a pair of vertical mounting spaces (23) is placed next to both side faces of the horizontal mounting space (17).
