Apparatus to discharge a vessel under pressure

A powder discharge system for a pressurized vessel has two or more rotary lock valves connected in series, a valve between the vessel and the first lock valve and a gas injection point between the valve and the vessel. Independent claims are also included for (i) a process for discharging powder from a pressurized vessel using the above system; and (ii) a fluidized bed polymerization reactor equipped with the above discharge system.
