PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow melting heater device for a vending machine or the like constituted to apply a greater part of a heating value convergently to snow accretion on the door upper face side without applying the quantity of heat exceeding the assumption of a design stage, to a merchandise storage space and a control equipment installation space formed inside a door. SOLUTION: A planar heating element with the same shape dimensions as an insulation body is placed over and joined to the upper face side of the insulation body with shape dimensions to cover the greater part of the upper face of the door of the vending machine or the like. A strong metal plate with almost the same shape dimensions is placed over and joined to the upper face side of the planar heating element. Connecting pins are erected on the right and left ends of the upper face side of the metal plate. Receiving holes of horizontal pieces of the right and left fixing plates are fitted to the connecting pins, and vertical pieces of the fixing plates are rigidly secured to the right and left side face upper parts of the door. The quantity of heat generated by carrying a current to the planar heating element is thereby applied to snow accretion on the metal plate. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
