PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for reducing the labor of a customer or a clerk by instantaneously responding to the change of circumstances in the transaction of an automatic teller machine. SOLUTION: An automatic teller machine 1 equipped with a simultaneous input port 23 used for inputting a plurality of coins simultaneously and a sequential input port 24 for inputting a few coins at a time, is provided with a means for accepting an input to select either the simultaneous input port 23 or the sequential input port 24 and a means for setting the selected input port as a coin input port.
