PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily construct a security system at low cost by using an electric wave for television signal transmission as intrusion detection, in a television signal transmission/reception system upconverting a television signal into a milli-meter wave band to perform wireless transmission. SOLUTION: A system having a transmission device upconverting the television signal into the milli-meter wave band and transmitting it and a reception device receiving a transmission electric wave from the transmission device and restoring the television signal is provided with a monitor 60 having a reception part 70 receiving the transmission electric wave from the transmission device and extracting a pilot signal transmitted from the transmission device together with the television signal. An operation part 80 is provided in the monitor 60. When a monitoring instruction is inputted from the operation part 80, a control part 64 decides whether or not a person intrudes into a room from a signal level of the pilot signal. When detecting the intrusion of the person, alarm sound is generated from an alarm 66, and the effect is notified to an external device from a transmitter/receiver 68. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
