PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processor and a signal processing method in which a plurality of tuners can be effectively utilized. SOLUTION: The signal processor 100 comprises: a selection section 40 which selects one tuner as a tuner used for communication between a first tuner 20A and a second tuner 20B in accordance with reception states of signals outputted from the first tuner 20A and the second tuner 20B when starting the communication; and a parameter change section 50 which changes the parameter of the other tuner not used for the communication while the communication is performed using the one tuner. In the case that the reception state of the signal outputted from the other tuner is more excellent than that of the signal outputted from the one tuner, the selection section 40 switches the tuner used for the communication from the one tuner to the other tuner.
