PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable device capable of attaching a hand strap to a portable device body easily in the portable device having a detachable battery pack in the portable device body. SOLUTION: At a storage section 4 formed to store the battery pack 3 in the portable device body 2 of a portable telephone 1 used as a portable device, a recess 7 is formed on the side, and an opening 8 is formed on the surface of the portable device body 2 to allow the deep portion of the recess 7 to face the surface. On the side of the battery pack 3, a projection 11 is provided, where the projection loosely fits the recess 7 and has a tip reaching the deep portion. When the projection 11 loosely fits the recess 7, the projection 11 is inserted into a ring 10 of the hand strap 9 inserted into the deep portion of the recess 7 from the opening 8.
