PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device provided with a display device turntable, which allows a weak person to easily rotate it even if he/she cannot find a remote controller. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device 100 is provided with a display main body 10, a display part holding mechanism to hold the display main body 10, and a display device turntable 20 which has a motor to rotate the display part holding mechanism. The liquid crystal display device 100 is composed of: a right rotation detector 90 which is provided at a right front edge of the display main body 10, is composed of an infrared sensor to detect a hand approaching it, and detects instructions of a rotation operation from a user; a left rotation detector 91 which is provided at a left front edge of the display main body 10, is composed of an infrared sensor to detect a hand approaching it, and detects instructions of a rotation operation from the user; and a controller which controls the motor so as to right rotate the display part holding mechanism if the right rotation detector 90 detects an instruction, and to left rotate it if the left rotation detector 91 detects an instruction.
