PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio device capable of performing the timing synchronization and determination of the number of hops in order to attain a highly efficient access network by a mesh network. SOLUTION: A radio terminal is provided in which, in the mesh network having a gateway connected to an external network such as a cable network, acquires the synchronization of a wider range by taking the timing synchronization of surrounding terminals by transmitting a signal for synchronization from the gateway and relaying the signal for synchronization from a receiving terminal into the network according to its synchronization timing.
