PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tank sealing device and an O ring installing method for allowing a user to confirm an O ring installing state, even when an O ring is installed in a fitting part of an installation object member fitted to a fitting object part. SOLUTION: A step height part 27 slipping out to one side in the axial direction is formed in the fitting part 23 fitted to the fitting object part 19 in a base member 12. Since the O ring 34 is installed in this step height part 27, even if the fitting part 23 is fitted to the fitting object part 19, an installation state of the O ring 34 can be confirmed from the front side in the slipping-out direction of the step height part 27. Afterwards, slipping-out from the step height part 27 of the O ring 34 is regulated by a slipping-out preventive member 36 separate from the base member 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
