PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and easily retain every sort of pet in a stationary state. SOLUTION: This retaining appliance for pets is disassembled into a lower tube 2 and an upper tube 3, and is provided with a tubular retainer tube 1 having such strength as to be non-deformed when the trunk of a pet is put therein, and a connector 4 for detachably connecting the lower tube 2 to the upper tube 3 of the retainer tube 1. The retainer tube 1 is provided with insertion parts 5 for inserting the legs of the pet at the boundary between the lower tube 2 and the upper tube. This retaining appliance retains the pet with the retainer tube 1 in such a manner that the legs are inserted in the insertion parts 5 with the lower cylinder 2 separated from the upper cylinder 3 and the lower cylinder 2 are connected to the upper cylinder 3 with the connector 4.
