The power plant has a supply channel i.e. pump, a turbine house and electrical generators provided for converting a mechanical energy to an electrical energy. The supply channel is provided with a water-inlet port resting in an earth radius, which is smaller than another earth radius on which a turbine inlet (6) is arranged. Water is supplied from a supply channel outlet (7), and flow energy in a turbine is converted into a mechanical work. The supply channel is located in an area of an earth meridian.
