<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately estimate a NOx concentration in exhaust gas by using cylinder pressure as a basic data in regard to a control device for an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: A cylinder pressure sensor 34 for detecting cylinder pressure P<SB>θ</SB>of the internal combustion engine 10 is provided. Based on the cylinder pressure P<SB>θ</SB>and cylinder volume V<SB>θ</SB>(θindicates a crank angle), an internal energy correlation value (ΣV×dP<SB>θ</SB>/dθ×Δθ) correlated with internal energy consumed inside a cylinder is calculated. By standardizing the internal energy correlation value at a load factor KL and correcting the value by a function f (kl) of the load factor KL, a NOx concentration estimate value in exhaust gas [NOx]=ä(ΣV×dP<SB>θ</SB>/dθ×Δθ)/KL}×f(kl) is calculated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
