<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a library device capable of obtaining accurate fault information. <P>SOLUTION: A main control part makes a picker 11 move to a drive device that is suspected of being in trouble, obtains a state display image of the drive device 3 of the object via an image input part and an image processing part, verifies the state display image with a template image, recognizes the state display information, and discriminates the existence of a trouble, the kind of trouble, or the like of the drive device 3.
