MAGNETIC RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light weight magnetic recording and reproducing device hardly damaging the tape in a simple configuration.

SOLUTION: The magnetic recording and reproducing device has two chassis of a main chassis 50 having a cylinder and a sub-chassis 18 to mount a cassette. A T3 post arm 58 is rotatably attached to the sub-chassis 18. A groove 18a for positioning the T3 post arm 58 is formed to the sub-chassis 18. The T3 post arm 58 turns within a certain extent to pull out the magnetic tape 12 halfway on the sub-chassis 18 when loading and is positioned by engaging its positioning section 58a with the groove 18a.
