PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm whether a PC terminal or a mobile terminal is registered by an authentication server, to check a user of the PC terminal or mobile terminal authenticated by the authentication server, by a mail server and to allow only the authenticated PC terminal or mobile terminal and its user to access the mail server. SOLUTION: The authentication server determines whether unique information from the PC terminal or mobile terminal is registered in a first storage means, and when registered, a server identification key for accessing the mail server is transmitted to the PC terminal or mobile terminal. The PC terminal or mobile terminal transmits a user ID, a password and the server identification key from the authentication server to the mail server. The mail server confirms whether the user ID, password and server identification key from the PC terminal or mobile terminal are registered in a second storage means, and if they are registered, mail transmitting/receiving permission to/from the mail server is given to the PC terminal or mobile terminal.
