PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxial orientation polyester film for a planar speaker substrate in which the distortion of a substrate film caused by the heating of a coil is reduced and sound quality reproducibility is improved by improving both characteristics of thermo-resistant dimensional stability and rigidity. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a biaxial orientation polyester film for a planar speaker substrate of which a thermal shrinkage percentage in treatment for 10 minutes at 200°C is≥0% and≤0.5%, respectively, in a length direction and a width direction, a Young's modulus is≥6 GPa and≤8 GPa, respectively, in the length direction and the width direction, and a variation in film thickness represented as a formula (1): film thickness variation (%)=ä(maximum value of film thickness-minimum value of film thickness)/average value of film thickness}×100 is≥0% and≤10%.
