PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote controller used for operating a desired key without fail. SOLUTION: The remote controller 1 comprises: a display section 6; an operation button 3; a light-emitting diode 7 emitting light, for example, with a wavelength in an infrared-ray region; a photosensor 11 detecting darkness around the remote controller 1; a battery 8 supplying power for operating the remote controller 1; a microcomputer 2; a vibration generator 4 converting an electric signal to mechanical vibration by an eccentric motor, a piezoelectric vibrator, or the like; and a memory 12 connected to the microcomputer 2 to store data. The operation button 3 has first and second contacts 19, 20, and the second contact 20 closes, then the vibration generator 4 vibrates in a prescribed vibration mode corresponding to the operation button 3.
